This project aims to develop a comprehensive framework to evaluate the good governance of online Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) platforms. These digital platforms are crucial for ensuring transparency, accessibility, and stakeholder participation in the EIA process. Despite the importance of good governance principles in preventing maladministration and corruption, their application to online EIA platforms has been underexplored. The project will draw from the broader literature on governance in environmental management and online platforms to create a set of principles and indicators for assessing the effectiveness of governance in these digital tools, ensuring they meet their intended goals of fostering informed decision-making and public engagement.
